ZerocutStay does not collect sensitive personal data (such as Aadhaar, PAN, financial info) unless required by law or voluntarily provided by the Host for verification.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal data to:

  • Create and manage your user account
  • Enable property search and booking
  • Send booking confirmations and updates
  • Facilitate communication between Guests and Hosts
  • Prevent fraud and improve platform safety
  • Analyze usage to improve features

4. Pay-at-Hotel Model & Advance Payment Disclaimer

  • ZerocutStay uses a Pay at Hotel model; we do not collect any payment for bookings.
  • Some Hosts may independently request an advance payment.
  • Such advance payments occur directly between Host and Guest.
  • ZerocutStay does not collect, store, or process such payments.
  • We are not responsible for fraud, loss, or disputes arising from off-platform payments.

5. Sharing of Data

We may share your data with:

  • Hosts – to process bookings and confirm reservations
  • Service Providers – cloud storage, SMS gateways, email delivery
  • Government authorities – only when legally required

ZerocutStay does not sell your data to advertisers or third parties.

6. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act

As a Data Principal, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Erase your data (where legally permissible)
  • Withdraw consent for specific data processing
  • Nominate another person in case of incapacity

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as required:

  • Booking history – for operational & legal reasons

9. Safety, Fraud Prevention & Reporting

To maintain platform safety:

  • Guests may report fraudulent Hosts or Listings through the “Report” feature or email.
  • ZerocutStay may suspend or remove Listings during investigation.
  • User data may be used for fraud detection and safety actions.

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures such as:

  • Encryption (where applicable)
  • Secure cloud storage
  • Access control and authentication
  • Regular security review

11. Children’s Data

We do not knowingly collect data from individuals below 18 years of age without guardian consent.
